palechartreuse@be-well.ilk.org BioI'm pale_chartreuse. I am an architect, construction specification writer, sf fen, and SCAdian. I ethnically self-identify as geek/nerd, with the engineering school background to prove it. I've been a member of an organic CSA for more than a dozen years.
I write about architecture, green and sustainable issues, whatever I am researching at the moment, and I occasionally brag about my kid. My pet peeve is media articles about sustainable issues where the technology or consumer products are not yet available (I call this the 'Real Soon Now' problem). I am highly biased towards reality.
I am always looking for new architectural, green building, and sustainable topics to blog about, so please feel free to send/ask me questions. If you are interested in this stuff, please feel free to use the archive of the first year of my blog as a resource. I've got a lot of material there.

This journal will be primarily dedicated to green and sustainability issues, especially the LEED accredidation and standards work of the U. S. Green Building Council. Publications of the USGBC will not be reprinted here. This blog is a personal study journal.
